The Expert Council is supported in its work by members of its scientific staff, who also conduct own applied research in the fields of integration and migration. Scientific staff apply a variety of discipline-specific and methodological approaches. Their research results are made available to experts from science, politics and civil society as well as to the general public through publications<\/a><\/strong>, talks and discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Research focuses on current and emerging trends and issues of relevance to migration and integration policy at the various federal levels and within the European Union. Research projects aim to offer suggestions for more in-depth debate among politicians, experts and the general public and to provide fact-based information which serves as guidance and a starting point for evidence-based policy action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another aim is to foster links between different fields, including economic migration, refugees and asylum, educational and labour market participation, and other areas of social life. Members of the scientific staff also carry out special analyses as part of work on the Integration Barometer so as to be able to provide in-depth findings on specific issues around coexistence in a diverse society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Expert Council\u2019s scientific staff cooperate with other research and policy advisory facilities both in Germany and abroad, with think tanks, foundations and other civil-society organisations.
Special emphasis is placed on information-sharing with departmental research institutions and with other research organisations working on migration and integration which are funded through the federal budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides ongoing research projects<\/a><\/strong>, the Expert Council\u2019s scientific staff also make their expertise on matters relating to integration and migration available to external clients, including federal and federal state ministries, think tanks, educational establishments, and national and international organisations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
