Trust in the Bundeswehr. Results of the SVR Integration Barometer 2024 (July 2025 – October 2025)
Comparative studies show that the military is one of the most trusted institutions worldwide. In Germany the Bundeswehr similarly enjoys a high level of trust, significantly exceeding that in political institutions such as the federal government and political parties.
In the light of the ongoing debate regarding improved funding and staffing for the Bundeswehr, this research project examines trust in the Bundeswehr, taking into account the migration background of the respondents. Additionally, it will consider potential differences among various subgroups based on their country of origin, migration generation, and the duration and status of their residence.
